Annual Membership Registration
Membership Fee Structure
Below, you’ll find this year’s membership fees. This is a modest increase compared to last year, to manage the rising Scouting Ireland membership fee and other operational costs, a topic we covered in the start-of-year parent/guardian meetings.
Tier & Cadence Selection
Families can select the best tier and payment cadence during registration. October payments will be pro-rated to include September, before reverting to the standard monthly price.

2025/26 Registration Process
Registration for the 2025/26 year is now open — to be completed by Friday, 31 October 2025.
How to register and pay
- Select Your Plan: Log in to the MMS at mms.willingtonscouts.ie. Click on the ‘Registration 2025/26’ form from your notifications. Here, you’ll select the payment frequency (annual or monthly) and number of community contributions for each youth member.
- Authorize Payment: Payments are securely processed using Stripe.
- Existing members will be asked to approve the updated payment plan via Stripe.
- New members will receive an email to create a Stripe account to handle payments.
Managing Your Payments
The Scout Group uses this Stripe account to process all charges authorized by you in the MMS, including events. It’s important to keep your payment information (card details, bank account, etc.) current in your Stripe account — as each bounced payment still incurs a transaction fee to the Scout Group.
If you need an alternative payment option for a specific charge, please contact your child(ren)’s section leadership team and copy [email protected] in the email.
Community Contributions
To acknowledge essential family support, we’ve introduced a tiered fee structure linked to ‘community contributions’ (fundraising, clean-ups, maintenance, or skills). See more information and a schedule of opportunities here.
The Cost of Scouting
Below is an average breakdown of our operating costs and income streams. This shows how membership fees are allocated and why community support and fundraising are vital.

Operating Costs
The Scout Group operates on a modest cost base.
36.5% of all membership fees go directly to Scouting Ireland for mandatory costs (registration, insurance, etc.).
The Scout Den is our second highest cost. Significant savings can be achieved on upkeep when families volunteer their time for clean-ups, maintenance, and skilled repairs.

Revenue Streams
Scout Group revenue primarily comes from three areas.
Fundraising and community support are critical, as they cover a 44% shortfall in our operating costs.
Simply put, without these other efforts, membership fees would need to increase by at least 44% to cover the same expenses.
