Are you looking to sign up your child(ren) to join Willington Scout Group? We are a co-educational organisation accepting young people from age 6 to 26!
How We Accept New Members
We typically accept new members once a year, every September. Sometimes, if we have places available, we will accept new members during the year.
You can request to join at any time — we will usually be in touch during the month of August to let you know if we can accept your child.
Please note that we cannot provide specific updates on placement or expected timelines, so please do not email to ask.
If your child(ren) has received a place in accordance with our waiting list criteria, we will be in touch.
- Children of Scouters (leaders) already in the group.
- Children of people who sign up to be a Scouter (you must accept the roles and responsibilities of being an Adult in Scouting, as defined by Scouting Ireland).
- Siblings of existing members.
- People from our waiting list, in the local area, in order of the date they joined the list.
- People from our waiting list, outside the local area, in order of the date they joined the list.
Our Sections
Scouting is split into five age-based sections. Find out which one fits your child. Age ranges are based on your child’s age on 1 September of the relevant year.
Join the Waiting List
We manage our new member waiting list through our Membership Management System (MMS) at mms.willingtonscouts.ie.
Existing Family
i.e. you have another child registered with the group
- Log in at mms.willingtonscouts.ie.
- Add your child’s details and add them to the waiting list from your household profile.
New Family
- Go to mms.willingtonscouts.ie/signup to create your account.
- Once your account and household details are set up, add your child’s details and add them to the waiting list.
