About Beaver Scouts
Beaver Scouts (ages 6–8) are the youngest section of Scouting, where the adventure begins with maximum fun, outdoor action, and teamwork. Meeting weekly during school terms, Beaver Scouts learn hands-on skills like camping, hiking, first aid, and cooking, while tackling adventures from treasure hunts and slumber parties to parades and national camps. Organized into small teams called Lodges within a larger Colony, every Beaver Scout gets a say in planning activities through “Log Chews” and takes turns leading and taking on responsibilities. They may be young, but Beaver Scouts are every bit as capable, curious, and adventurous as the older Scouting sections!
Willington has 2 Beaver Scout Colonies, meeting on Monday and Tuesday evenings.
