Annual Membership Registration
Below, you’ll find this year’s membership fees. This is a modest increase compared to last year, to manage the rising Scouting Ireland membership fee and other operational costs, a topic we covered in the start-of-year parent/guardian meetings.
Membership Fee Structure

2025/2026 Registration Process
Registration will open for completion via mms.willingtonscouts.ie and is due by on 31/10/2025. More information on how to complete will be sent via email.
Tier & Cadence Selection
Families can select the best tier and payment cadence during registration. October payments will be pro-rated to include September, before reverting to the standard monthly price.
Community Contributions
To acknowledge essential family support, we’ve introduced a tiered fee structure linked to ‘community contributions’ (fundraising, clean-ups, maintenance, or skills). See more information and a schedule of opportunities here.
The Cost of Scouting
Below is an average breakdown of our operating costs and income streams. This shows how membership fees are allocated and why community support and fundraising are vital.

Operating Costs
The Scout Group operates on a modest cost base.
36.5% of all membership fees go directly to Scouting Ireland for mandatory costs (registration, insurance, etc.).
The Scout Den is our second highest cost. Significant savings can be achieved on upkeep when families volunteer their time for clean-ups, maintenance, and skilled repairs.

Revenue Streams
Scout Group revenue primarily comes from three areas.
Fundraising and community support are critical, as they cover a 44% shortfall in our operating costs.
Simply put, without these other efforts, membership fees would need to increase by at least 44% to cover the same expenses.
