Venture Scouts (ages 15–17) take complete ownership of their adventure, stepping up to design, plan, and execute their own programme with adult Scouters acting as mentors. Meeting regularly to prepare for major outdoor challenges, Venture Scouts tackle everything from beach BBQs and water sports to winter mountain expeditions and multi-night international camps. Organized into small, interest-based teams called Crews within a larger Venture Unit, members can run separate projects—like completing a mountain trek or putting on a stage show—alongside full-Unit activities. Beyond local challenges, Venture Scouts love the social side of Scouting, coming together with peers nationwide at major events like Ventact, Mountain Havoc, and Scout Fest.
